Fort Mill, SC – December 17, 2012. As the 2012 Best In The Desert (BITD) season came to a close at Henderson, Nevada, General Tire celebrated three class championships with members of Team GT. For the second straight year, Jim Riley topped the points in the 6100 Class with his Azunia Tequila Ford. Riley battled the rugged deserts of the southwest to post three wins in 2012, including a win at the coveted General Tire Mint 400. Through it all, it was the “team” mentality that helped Riley to the class championship.

Fort Mill, SC – March 29, 2012. The 2012 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) season kicks off this weekend at Firebird Raceway and General Tire will be there in full-effect. General Tire’s support of short-course racing runs deep, since its inception, General Tire has been a sponsor of LOORRS, and numerous teams. Even recently expanding its efforts into the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series as a contingency sponsor. General Tire is part of the fabric of the sport so their four year partnership with eight-time champion Carl Renezeder is no surprise.
Fort Mill, SC – March 29, 2012. In front of an estimated crowd of over 25,000 fans, Team GT took to the south Las Vegas desert for the 2012 General Tire Mint 400 over the weekend. The weekend kicked off with the first annual pit crew competition won by none other than Team GT member Rick D. Johnson. With the help of Mikey Childress, Johnson posted a time of just under one minute to beat out General Tire team member Jason Voss for the win. The following night, General Tire helped crown 2012 Miss Mint winner, Vanessa Golub-Ferrara. A fantastic start to the weekend which saw a harsh desert claim many victims throughout the 400-mile race.
Fort Mill, SC – March 6, 2012. The 2011 off-road season boasted some incredible racing and General Tire‘s Justin Davis certainly contributed to those moments. Davis’ stand-out performances in the SCORE series have garnered him the distinction of being named Dirt Sports Rookie of the Year for 2011. The 18-year-old Davis was also nominated for the Dirt Sports Driver of the Year award. The youngster joins
