    4ICON Vehicle Dynamics’ 2007-UP GM 1500 1-3” suspension systems are designed to dramatically increase the on and off-road ride quality of Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. With wheel travel and ride quality in mind, ICON engineers researched each component of the GM platform’s suspension and addressed any areas where performance could be extracted. After this initial step, an array of products including coilovers, rear shocks, and upper control arms were developed and put to the test in varying terrain and extreme conditions.     5ea8daf9-791d-4873-b522-507a0b13fbdcAlthough many think the Hilux is more or less similar to a Tacoma it is, in fact, a very different vehicle. The frame is very stout, and the rear suspension is designed for quite a bit more load and service than a Tacoma. These differences prompted an approach to this international chassis that was quite different than the USDM counterpart. In standard fashion, ICON engineers took an all-encompassing approach and addressed the Hilux’s suspension as a whole rather than focusing on one particular component. The result of this is a dramatic increase in wheel travel and damping ability, translating into outstanding vehicle control and ride quality both on and off-road. (more…)

    ICON 2007-UP Jeep JK Steering Stabilizer Kit

    ICOM Jeep Wrangler JK Steering StabilizerICON Vehicle Dynamics has recently developed a high-clearance steering stabilizer kit for the 2007-UP Jeep Wrangler JK that not only increases damping ability, but also relocates the stabilizer up and out of the way of rocks, brush, and other trail hazards. Replacing the stock stabilizer with the ICON unit reduces feedback to the steering wheel by way of an ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series shock that’s been tuned specifically for the Jeep JK. The primary focus of ICON engineers is to increase wheel travel and damping ability, which translates into outstanding vehicle control and ride quality both on and off-road. An in-depth R&D process including suspension articulation, ride tuning, and dyno testing allowed us to develop products that are engineered to work specifically for that vehicle. We have assembled several unique stages of suspension systems for the 2014 4WD F-150, ranging from a standard coilover and shock setup to the all-out Stage 5 system that extracts the most performance from the vehicle utilizing larger, more technologically-advanced components.
