  • Black Flags Do Not Console ROCKSTAR Energy Drink Driver Rob MacCachren In Short Course Finale

Rob Mac was taken out in the final Pro2 race of the seasonRob MacCachren came to Firebird International Raceway for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) season finale looking to add a sixth win in the 15 round series.  He qualified third on Friday, putting him on the second row for Saturday’s last points race of the season. Rob Mac was out front in the ROCKSTAR Energy Drink / BFGoodrich Tires / MasterCraft Safety truck and set the fast lap for the race.  He was well on his way to yet another victory when Brian Deegan dove under MacCachren in Turn 3 late in the race and put Rob on his roof.  Deegan was black flagged for his actions and moved to the back of the pack, but the damage had been done and Rob limped around the track to finish mid-pack.  Rob Mac’s five victories in Pro2 Unlimited are more than any other competitor, but incidents like Saturday’s resulted in some uneven finishes this season that caused MacCachren to finish second in points. • ROCKSTAR Energy Drink’s Rob MacCachren Heads to Phoenix for Short Course Finale

Rob MacCachren is always looking for his next winAt the end of another year of racing, Rob MacCachren has racked up five wins in fourteen rounds of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS).  Perhaps even more impressive is that LOORRS is only one of three series that MacCachren competes in.  He was also victorious at three TRAXXAS The Off Road Championship (TORC) races and had two wins (in only five races) in SCORE desert racing.  Still, perhaps the most important race of the year is yet to come.  “This is the biggest pay day in short course,” MacCachren noted of the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup, “and I want my piece of it.”  $30,000 is on the line as Rob pits the No. 1 ROCKSTAR Energy Drink / BFGoodrich Tires / MasterCraft Safety truck not only against his normal Pro2 Unlimited competition, but the Pro4 Unlimited 4WD trucks are on the same course as well.  MacCachren is no stranger to cup races, having won three Borg Warner Cups during his prestigious short course career. UTVUG Blog

Riverside, CA 11/17/2011 –  It was a big weekend in Las Vegas for rounds 13 & 14 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS).  With the stands packed in honor of fallen competitor Rick Huseman, the level of competition on the track was lifted to a level not seen all year.  Racers in all classes competed with heavy hearts and payed respects with their vehicles sporting #36 tribute decals in honor of Huseman and his younger brother Jeff who were tragically killed in a air plane crash weeks prior. Rick Huseman’s older brother and crew chief Dan Huseman, took his #36 Monster Energy Toyota around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway track for one final lap while the fan packed stands looked on.  With the sun shining and the brisk air surrounding the track the racers, including RJ Anderson were ready to honor Rick the best way they knew how, by racing hard and leaving it all out on the track! Sheldon Creed Motorsports

A mere fourteen years old, Sheldon Creed has experienced more Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) victories than birthdays.  The three-time Kart champion took home his 17th short course win last weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, this time in the ultracompetitive Super Lite class.  It has hard to believe that Creed’s first time racing in the Super Lite spec class was in September at Speedworld, where he reached the podium in a field of 14 trucks just a week before his fourteenth birthday. COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA  NOVEMBER 11, 2011  –  Chris Brandt #82 BFGoodrich / Toyota Pro Lite Unlimited Truck boldly and proudly wore the Huseman memorial graphic at the Las Vegas Lucas Oil Off Road Race rounds 13 & 14.  Leading the points all season, Brandt finished a respectable 3rd after starting in 17th on Saturday.  Sunday’s 2ndplace finish came after an intense battle with Brian Deegan at the front of the pack which put him on the podium for the 12th time this season.  “I am disappointed in the second place finish on Sunday.  We were battling the whole race and I kept pushing in for the lead,” said Chris Brandt.  “We have one more race in December to determine the series champion.  With only 3 points separating Deegan and I, you know it will be the must see race of the season!” (more…)
