    Larry McRae - King of the HammersGREENVILLE, SC (Feb 1, 2014) – BFGoodrich® Tires has over a hundred teams on the lake bed sporting some kind of BFGoodrich tread pattern from the brand new Baja T/A KR2 prototype tire on reigning King Randy Slawson’s car, to teams running the more common Krawler T/A or Mud-Terrain T/A.

    Saturday at King of the Hammers is a set-up day.  The steady stream of vehicles coming down the dirt road seems endless.  The tents that were once empty fill up with buggies, tools and tires.  BFGoodrich is a tire of choice for many teams. (more…)

    King ShocksFEBRUARY 21, 2013 – GARDEN GROVE, CA – After a relatively short life span of existence, the annual King of the Hammers (KOH) Ultra4 Race has quickly garnered international recognition with the likes of Baja 1000 and Dakar as being the toughest off road race in the world. A contributing factor in enduring these extremely grueling events is proven off road shock technology. The 2013 KOH race course featured 184 miles of harsh desert terrain and near impassable obstacles however King Shocks’ drivers Randy Slawson and John Currie conquered all on the way to victory.   • King of the Hammers Qualifying proves a challenge for past Kings!

    The violence of 600 Horsepower rang through the canyon walls of Chocolate Thunder like the trumpets of Jericho as Tom Wayes assaulted the “Gate Keeper” that now resembles a sand embedded wall of rock blocking access to the trail beyond.

    The Griffin King of the Hammers Happy Hour pitted the best in Ultra4 racing in a nonstop barrage of horsepower, dust and adrenalin. Past Kings found themselves mired at the beginning of the course watching their hopes for a early starting position vanish before their eyes.  (more…)
