    As the sun painted the clouds with red and orange over Hammertown, the 11thannual Nitto King of the Hammers powered by Optima Batteries came to life with the low rumble of V8 engines. Race cars had to be staged by 6:30am for an 8:00am start. Pit crews scattered to one of three remote pits along race course as the cars lined up in staging areas. Drivers chatted and joked about the adventure that was about to commence as their navigators ensured the race course and notes were on their navigation systems. (more…)

    Shannon Campbell - Warn WinchClackamas, OR (2/14/14) — Warn Industries winches are clearly the winch of choice for the top performers at the 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers presented by Nitto Tires.  A total of $2900 will be paid out to the winners of Friday’s Griffin King of the Hammers race, Thursday’s Smittybilt Every Man Challenge race and Wednesday’s UTV race.

    “I have always run WARN and have never run anything else.  I probably own 10 of them between all my different cars,” said Loren Healy, the current 2014 King.

    Second place Tony Pellegrino commented, “We used the WARN winch three times on race day, and was grateful for it each time!  We run WARN on all our GenRight Off Road vehicles and to me it is the standard.” (more…)

  • Sacalas Claims Fastest Lap Time at Lucas Oil Short Course

    June 11, 2011 – Glen Helen, CA: After winning the 1st round of the Lucas Oil Regional Series at Glen Helen in April, all eyes were on Kevin Sacalas as the man to beat last weekend.  Only 1.7 seconds separated Sacalas and Gary Ferravanti Sr. across the line after 12 laps of intense racing. Ultimately, Ferravanti took the win, while Sacalas claimed the fastest lap time and 2nd place on the podium and secured his spot as the leader in the Lucas Oil Regional Series for the Ultra4 class.
