    Shannon Campbell Repeats Win at Badlands

    Shannon Campbell - UMC Ultra4 BadlandsATTICA, IN – July 3rd, 2014:  More than 40 ULTRA4 cars came to compete at The Ultimate Motorsports Championship last weekend at Badlands Off-Road Park in Attica, IN.  The race has grown nearly 70% in the last 3 years and has become a true battle of East meets West on some of the harshest terrain the 2014 ULTRA4 season has to offer. The fastest drivers from the East included; Erik Miller, Derek West, Bill Baird and Chicky Barton.  Drivers from the west included; Shannon Campbell,  Loren Healy,  Wayland Campbell and Tom Wayes.  After two and a half brutal hours of racing, Shannon Campbell  lead by two laps over Mike Colville, making him the ULTRA4 winner at the Badlands for the 2nd year in a row.

    REDLYNER Racing’s Mall Crawler Finishes 2nd in Ultra4 Badlands

    2014_UMC-Ultra4_DSC_6993CHARLOTTE, NC – July 3, 2014 – REDLYNER Racing (#4550) places 2nd in the 2014 Ultra4 Badlands 4500 Class race on June 28, 2014, in Attica, IN.  Competing in a two and a half hour endurance race, Ultra-4 racer, Jay Callaway, battled the elements and pushed his daily-driven Jeep through one of its toughest tests to date.

    “What an amazing race! Easily one of the more challenging events I’ve competed in, but also one of the most adrenaline pumping,” said Jay Callaway, driver for REDLYNER Racing. “Nothing was easy, the weather, the mud, the rocks or the competition. Rock Pro Rock Crawling Series will be part of the well attended 4thAnnual Ultimate Motorsports Championship (UMC) at the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, Indiana.  The three-day event will include two full days of extreme rock crawling action in the quarry at the south end of the park.  “The rock quarry at the Badland park has always been a drivers favorite.  In the last year the rocks have been moved around where Josh has been able to build all new courses.  Only one is similar to years past,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events. “We encourage those that are coming to watch the weekends events to bring their 4×4 and participate in our Sportsman Class.  It is essentially a run what you brung class that isn’t too difficult so you can have fun and win!”  (more…)

    August 13th, 2013 Renton, WA.-  The #5AZ car piloted by Shannon and Wayland Campbell remains in the ULTRA4 National Points lead after a 1st place finish at the Badlands UMC race. ARB wants to wish Shannon and Wayland a HUGE congratulations on the successful race and we can not wait to see how they perform at the remaining races this season.

  • Campbell Racing Combines Efforts for ULTRA4 Badlands Win

      ATTICA, IN, July 2nd 2013: More than 30 teams competed in the 2nd Annual ULTRA4 race held at Badlands Off-Road Park last Saturday as part of the Ultimate Motorsport Championship in Attica, IN. While the course layout was similar to last year, the dry and dusty conditions of 2012 were replaced with heavy rain and extensive mud.  Thousands of fans braved the wet and mucky conditions for a chance to see some of their favorite ULTRA4 drivers compete in a course that featured a newly created off road amphitheater and a technical rock quarry made even more punishing due to the slick conditions. Rock Pro Rock Crawling Series will be this weekend as part of the Ultimate Motorsports Championship (UMC) at the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, Indiana.  The three day event will include two full days of extreme rock crawling action in the quarry at the south end of the park.  “The rock quarry at the Badland park has always been a drivers favorite.  There are so many different types of terrain in one area that it challenges even the best drivers,” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events. “We encourage those that may think that they are just coming to watch the weekends events to bring their wheeler and participate in our Sportsman Class.  It is basically a run what you brung class that isn’t so difficult that you can’t have fun and be successful.  We already have three drivers preregistered in this class: Steve Brown, Paul Figge and Chris Smith; so it should be a great time!”  (more…)
