COLORADO SPRINGS, CO MAY 29, 2012 – JT Taylor completed another first in off-road racing. Poison Spyder Larry McRae Wins Modified Class at Cinco de Baja
BANNING, CA MAY 9, 2012 – Larry McRae drove the Poison Spyder Modified Ultra4 #4581 to a class win at the Ultra4 Cinco de Baja race last weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With this Modified Class Western Series win and the 2012 Modified Class King of the Hammers win, the Poison Spyder Racing team is leading the Pro Series Modified Class and the Western Series Modified Class points race. “The only thing that we had to do was put fuel in the car,” said driver Larry McRae. “The crew prepped the car meticulously and have slowly worked the bugs out of the car making the 250 miles consecutively with no issues to speak of.” (more…) -
Team Trail-Gear Triumphs at Cinco de Baja
Fresno, CA-Team Trail-Gear Racing took home top honors at the Ultra4 Western Regional Series Cinco de Baja race just outside Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, May 5, 2012. JT Taylor Races NORRA Mexican 1000 in Ultra4 Car
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO APRIL 22, 2012 – JT Taylor will be taking the Torchmate / Tube Shark Ultra4 car south of the border to compete in the four day 2012 General Tire NORRA Mexican 1000 Race. YUKON GEAR AND AXLE/BIGELOW MOTORSPORTS WIN ROUND 1 at Rausch Creek
Emmitsburg, MD – April 16 2012 – Doug Bigelow, the owner and driver of the #4413 Yukon Gear and Axle/Bigelow Motorsports Ultra 4 race vehicle, won the opening round of three, at the Rausch Creek Offroad Endurance race this past weekend. Battling a tough group of 25 seasoned Ultra 4 racers from the East Coast, Bigelow consistently put down lap times in the top 3 racers to take home the win. “This was a tough race to persevere through, at the end of lap one the race buggy started overheating bad and we lost the lower radiator fan. I thought for sure it was done at that point when I had a couple of racers pass us. The motor kept going into limp mode and out and fortunately we kept running it as hard as it would take it. I’ll say this; the little Chevy 5.3 will take a beating. It’s been overcooked, frozen and run upside down and somehow it is still going”, noted Bigelow of the race. (more…)
