    $10,000 Purse and 10 Qualifying Spots to 2011 King of the Hammers to be Awarded

    RENO, NV   AUGUST 22, 2010 ~ Exit 28 Motorsports Park is excited to host the Stampede race produced by Hammerking Productions and sponsored by ORI of Reno and the Grand Sierra Resort.  The Stampede race is modeled around the extremely popular King of the Hammers race.

    The race will be three 22-mile laps attacking the brutal terrain of the Reno, NV environment in rock racer Ultra4 cars. “This race has the most in common with the hardest off-road race on the planet.   • Raceline Wheels Dominates Two Northern Nevada Events

    GARDEN GROVE, CA    JULY 27, 2010:  Chris Ridgway took the checkered flag at Octane Fest, and Kevin Yoder placed first in the Ultra4 class of the Xtreme Outlaw 250 race.

    Chris Ridgway battled against JT Taylor, Mike Turner and Jesse Haines at the 2010 Octane Fest TUFF-CUP Pro Arena Rock Racing on a GP style track with strategically placed tires and logs as obstacles.  All four rock racers were sporting the Monster Raceline Wheels.  JT Taylor qualified with the fastest time, which put him on the pole position and Ridgway next to him.  JT Taylor took the hole shot, but in the third and final lap of the main event, Ridgway cut to the inside and passed JT Taylor in the corner just before they got to the set of tires.  Ridgway confirmed the lead hopping over the tires and the logs first.  “It was a clean pass, and a lot of fun racing on this style track,” said JT Taylor.     Sacalas’ “Big Ugly” Takes Close 2nd at Silver State 300

    Kevin Sacalas went into last week’s BITD Silver State 300 with one goal: to prove he was a contender in the Ultra4 class. He did just that! At the end of 300 miles, one minute 18 seconds is all that separated Sacalas, the 2009 Vegas to Reno winner, from Loren Healy, the 2010 King of the Hammers winner. Ultimately, as they crossed the finish line, following a 90+ MPH drag race through the silt beds of the Nevada desert, Healy would take 1st with Sacalas coming in a close 2nd. Silver State 300 was Sacalas’ 3rd Ultra4 race in the 4435 car he built in his garage that fans have affectionately dubbed, “Big Ugly.” (more…)

  • OffRoad Design Ultra4 Leads the Pack at BITD Silver State 300

    CARBONDALE, CO     APRIL 30, 2010   The brother team of Stephen and Brandon Watson, in the Offroad Design Racing Ultra4 car, lead the pack at the 2010 BITD Silver State 300 for over 220 miles.  “We really felt like the car was dialed in, so we decided that we were not going to just finish this race, we were going to go for the win!” said Stephen Watson.  Starting second of sixteen in the Ultra4 class, all they had to do was keep everyone behind them.   • VORRA Series Adds Ultra4 Class with 2011 King of the Hammers Qualifying Spot

    RENO, NV,   MARCH 5, 2010:   VORRA Series Promoter Wes Harbor is proud to announce the addition of an Ultra4 Class to the well known west coast series. With the commitment from Ultra4 class promoters Dave Cole and Jeff Knoll, the VORRA Ultra4 Class winner will earn a starting position in the 2011 King of the Hammers.  “We feel that we have a good series where this style of vehicle can excel,” says Harbor. “We are excited to have the addition of a new class, and we hope that all the Ultra4 cars will come out to qualify for the King of the Hammers.” (more…)
