Healy Finds Redemption at Arkansas RCV ULTRA4 Race
August 17th, 2013 – Hot Springs, AR: The 4WD Hardware ULTRA4 Eastern Regional Series came to a finale last weekend at the RCV ULTRA4Race at Superlift ORV Park in Hot Springs AR. 2010 King of the Hammers winner, Loren Healy started the race in the pole position after qualifying first on Friday and never looked back. Healy had not planned on racing in Arkansas, however, after experiencing DNFs in Indiana and Utah, he made the decision to make the trek to Arkansas. (more…) -

GARDEN GROVE, CA AUGUST 19, 2013: Pier Acerni chose Raceline Wheels before their first King of the Valleys UK event last year. Since, he has competed and won both King of the Valley events and competed at the 2013 King of the Hammers. “Yes, we run the 17×9.5 Monster Aluminum Beadlock wheels. We didn’t punch any tires, different to others that cut many tires. Our car is very heavy weight, but the wheels are very strong and we haven’t had any problems in the rocks,” said Pier Acerni of Italy’s Team Acerni Racing in his broken English. (more…) -
Acerni Repeats ULTRA4 Win at UK’s 2013 King of The Valleys
WALTERS ARENA, WALES, UK, August 14th, 2013: More than 40 teams from nine countries competed last weekend in the 2nd annual King of The Valleys ULTRA4 race held at Walters Arena in Wales, UK. Going into the event, there was much speculation as to who would be declared this year’s King of The Valleys: Would it be a returning driver such as last year’s winner, Italian Pier Acerni, or perhaps a local racer familiar with the terrain such as UK’s Jim Marsden, or could it possibly be the American ULTRA4 driver on his first trip overseas, Levi Shirley? Ultimately, after three grueling days of competition that saw drivers navigating through winding technical rally roads normally reserved for WRC events, battling waste deep mud bogs and scaling extreme rock obstacles designed specifically for this event, it was the Italian driver, Pier Acerni, who retained his crown for another year. First Ever ULTRA4 Win for “EZ” Rick Mooneyham
TOOELE, UT July 16th, 2013: Driver “EZ” Rick Mooneyham is no stranger to the ULTRA4 podium. Over the years, he’s been one of the most consistent top three finishers at the Griffin King of The Hammers Presented by Nitto Tire. However, despite all of his podium finishes, a first place trophy had proved elusive to Mooneyham; that is until last weekend’s American Rocksports Challenge held at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT where Mooneyham crushed the competition and claimed first place finishing nearly 45 seconds ahead of Shannon Campbell.
