FULLERTON, CA. – (Sept. 11, 2011) – It was an exceptional day for the Steele family and Yokohama Tire Corporation at the Tecate SCORE San Felipe Challenge of Champions, September 10, in San Felipe, Baja, California, Mexico. Husband and wife team Cameron and Heidi Steele put on a show with Yokohama’s Geolandar® tires. Heidi – battling severe stomach flu – won the Class 6 division (with a lot of help from co-driver and Desert Assassins teammate Rene Brugger and his son Richie), while Cameron finished fifth in the ultra-competitive Trophy Truck division, and seventh overall among all 77 racers. This year alone, she’s won the San Felipe 250 in March and was third in the Baja 500. FULLERTON, CA (Aug. 9, 2011) – Yokohama Tire Corporation collected two first-place victories in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) event, August 7 at Glen Helen Raceway near San Bernardino, California. Longtime Yokohama-sponsored racer Cameron Steele captured his first Lucas Oil race of the season in the Pro Lite Class, as did Chad George, who took the title in the Super Lites Class. 30-Second Spot Features Off-Road Stars Cameron and Heidi Steele in a High-Speed Update of Classic Kids’ Game, “Duck, Duck, Goose”FULLERTON, CA (April 14, 2011) – Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) recently rolled out a high-powered, high-speed television commercial based on the classic kids’ game, “Duck, Duck, Goose” (DDG).
The 30-second spot, shot in February at the San Bernardino International Airport, broke nationally on ABC during the 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race. It features off-road champions Cameron and Heidi Steele – both Yokohama-sponsored drivers – whipping around a circle of high-performance vehicles all equipped with Yokohama tires. Cameron (a Baja 1000 champion) in his 800-horsepower off-road truck and Heidi (a Baja 500 and 1000 champion) in a bright yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera chasing after him. (more…)
