I just bought a 1997 Chevy 1500 longbed and I want to lift it 3". I just need a body lift and I'm looking for info. I'm looking to spend $200 or less. I want to be able to fit at Least 31" tires if not 33". What all do I need to do this? New shocks, brake lines? I need all the info I can get

most are about the same...be sure any body lift kit addresses the steering shaft and radiator/cooling (may not be needed, but be sure to check) :)

Body lift shouldn't need anything done to the brakes or shocks, since it only effects the body/frame connection points. Just don't do the cheapest one, they sometimes skrimp on mount/hardware quality...
