Crandon, Wis. (September 5, 2011) – Bryce Menzies continues his appearances atop the podium for the second consecutive day and clenching the win in the finale of the World Championship Off-Road races.
Menzies lined up in the sixth spot for the “Land Rush” standing start in his KMC Wheels outfitted Red Bull Mopar Ram and powered his way into second as the field reached the first turn, on a very muddy track, as rain fell throughout the nine-lap event.
KMC Wheels is proud to be a part of Bryce’s victories this weekend and a big congratulations to Menzies and his team.
Menzies was running in second place to Scott Taylor when the mandatory competition caution flew on the fifth lap, and restarted in that position, keeping pace with Taylor over the next two circuits. The Las Vegas native took the lead with two laps to go, coming off the final turn in nearly the exact spot he took the lead on Saturday on his way to a victory. Menzies would pace the final two circuits to pick up his fourth win of the season.
Menzies currently has a 26-point lead on MacCachren in the standings, as he chases a title in his rookie season in PRO 2. Menzies has finished in the Top-Five in all nine rounds of racing contested thus far this season. They have had had a good truck all year and we just have to be smart and not make any mistakes. I can’t wait for the next race in Chicago.”
