Fresno, CA-Trail-Gear, Inc. plans to shake things up with the launch of three new Jeep products. Trail-Gear will be debuting a new roll cage for Jeep Wranglers made from years 1987-1995 (YJs), front lower control arm brackets and cam bolts for Wranglers, Cherokees and Wagoneers with the following Body Style Designations: TJ; TJ-L or LJ; XJ; ZJ; and WJ, today (Friday, August 3rd). “We have a wide selection of off-roading products that every off-road enthusiast should have,” said Matt Messer, Trail-Gear CEO. In response to customer requests, Trail-Gear will be expanding into the Jeep market. “We saw a need for high-quality yet affordable Jeep parts in the market and want to be the one to fill it,” Messer explains.
Trail-Gear will be releasing their new Rock Defense™ YJ Roll Cage. It is a do-it-yourself, weld- together cage that adds-on to the existing roll bar. Made from heavy-duty 1.75”x .120” wall DOM material, it replaces the weak stock A to B pillar braces and offers more protection in the event of a roll during on and off pavement adventures. The Rock Defense™ YJ Roll Cage has been engineered for Wranglers made from 1987-1995. It fits YJs with either hard or soft tops and requires welding for assembly.
Trail-Gear will also be releasing their Jeep Front Lower Control Arm Brackets. These brackets are designed to upgrade the stock front lower control arm brackets on TJ and TJ-L or LJ Wranglers and XJ, ZJ and WJ Cherokees or Wagoneers with Dana 30 or 44 front axles. The Trail- Gear brackets are made from heavy-duty ¼” thick steel and will strengthen the suspension mounting points, allowing drivers to take on bigger obstacles on the trail. Brackets are sold in pairs.
Additionally, Trail-Gear will be releasing a set of heavy duty Jeep Cam Bolts so that customers may upgrade their stock bolts when upgrading their brackets, instead of re-using the stock bolts. The Trail-Gear HD Jeep Cam Bolts are specially engineered to fit Jeep Lower Control Arm Brackets on TJ and TJ-L or LJ Wranglers and XJ, ZJ and WJ Cherokees or Wagoneers with Dana 30 or 44 front axles. They are rated Class 10.9 and zinc-plated for corrosion resistance. Each kit includes hardware for both Lower Control Arm Mounts which includes two bolts, two lock nuts and four Cam washers.
