Fresno, CA-Trail-Gear has just announced that they will be the title sponsor of the final race in the 2012 NorCal Rock Racing Championship Series and for the entire 2013 series. “Team Trail-Gear had such a great time racing in the first two races of the series that we wanted to offer our support,” said Matt Messer, Trail-Gear CEO. Messer competed in Team Trail-Gear’s new Ultra 4 buggy in the 4400 class at the second race in the series. Team Trail Gear Racing co-driver, James Schofield, competed in the first race of the series in the 4 & 6 Cylinder Sportsman class with the Trail-Gear F-Toy.
The NorCal Rock Racing Series provides a challenge to a wide range of drivers. It offers classes for street legal, stock vehicles to extremely modified, highly tuned custom race vehicles and everything in- between, in addition to a UTV series. The series consists of three races, all of which take place at the Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area in Rancho Cordova, California. The race course is altered for each round. It includes rock piles and jumps on a dirt track to test drivers’ skills. The NorCal Rock Racing Championship Series serves as a qualifier for the King of the Hammers (KOH) race that takes place each February. The top two finishers in the series earn spots to compete in KOH.
“We saw incredible growth potential with this series and wanted to offer our support to the organizers,” said Messer. “They have done a great job of providing a challenging race that is also a lot of fun. We are thrilled to be onboard as the title sponsors,” said Messer.
The final race of the 2012 series will take place September 29th. For more information, log on to www.norcalrockracing.com.
