    Compton, California (April 29, 2015) – For the first time ever, North America’s only touring off-road show and exposition is coming to Canada when 4 Wheel Parts brings Truck & Jeep Fest to Edmonton’s EXPO Centre on May 2-3. While reinforcing its position as the global leader in truck, Jeep and 4×4 performance product sales and installation, 4 Wheel Parts’ unique Truck & Jeep Fest event complements the corporation’s seven Canadian retail locations which now include the recently opened store in Langley, BC, bringing the total number of stores across North America to 69.

    Edmonton Truck & Jeep Fest’s distinctive interactive experience allows visitors the opportunity to engage with leading industry experts and vendor representatives who are on-site providing product demonstrations and the latest in truck, Jeep and 4×4 technology. The free event spreads across 100,000 sq.ft. of the EXPO Centre, is open to the public and features the off-road industry’s most innovative custom trucks and Jeeps alongside displays from North America’s leading off-road performance aftermarket manufacturers. Visitors will be treated to hourly promotional pricing and giveaways while poring over $500,000 in inventory at factory-direct prices.

    4 Wheel Parts Truck & Jeep Fest hours on Saturday, May 2 are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday Truck & Jeep Fest is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Expert ASE-certified technicians will also be on-site to provide professional advice as well as install and service event purchases at a discounted rate.

    TONKA® Motorsports Returns in 2015 for the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series with Increased TV Exposure

    CORONA, Calif. (April 29, 2015) – Funrise Toys®, manufacturer of TONKA branded products under license from Hasbro® has returned as a sponsorship partner with Team Lucas for this year’s Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series with increased on-site event participation, as well as significant exposure on CBS, CBS Sports Network and MAVTV.

    TONKA Motorsports is looking to leave an even bigger impression during this year’s season in the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series. Funrise will continue its sponsorship with Pro 2 driver, Myan Spaccarelli and is excited to announce the addition of veteran driver, Eric Barron to the Tonka Off-Road race team, competing in the Pro 4 class racing TONKA Toyota branded trucks equipped with Toyota motors.

    In addition to Spaccarelli and Barron, Pro Lite and Pro Buggy driver, Taylor Atchison will add two more TONKA-branded race vehicles to the team as he competes in both classes.

    “Tonka Motorsports’ presence both on the track and off will add an increased level of excitement for fans of all ages” Funrise Vice-President of Marketing, Kathy Hawk said. “Each year TONKA has been involved with the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series, the company has been delighted with the positive reception from race fans” said Hawk.

    Families visiting Lucas Oil Off-Road Races can also expect areas set up for the littlest race fans to play. At each event on this year’s calendar, kids receive free admission to TONKA’s Fun Zone where they can play in the dirt with toy replicas of the vehicles they see racing. In addition, upon entry, each child 12 and under receives a “Spin N Win” ticket for one lucky spin for great TONKA prizes. Kids will receive a goody bag with stickers, TONKA Team Member Adventure and Pit Passes which allow kids and their parents to get up close and personal with their favorite TONKA Off-Road race team drivers.

    “We will continue setting up TONKA Fun Zones at each race as a destination where kids can play in sand pits and get hands on with TONKA toys,” Hawk said. “We also will have a 15-foot inflatable dump truck stationed on track, and will be selling Tonka Off-Road vehicles at all events. We are always happy to be able to provide a destination where kids and parents come to play with TONKAs between races. They always leave with a smile.”

    unnamedApril 24th, 2015 – Garden Grove, CA – The Bud Light BajaSur 500 was a brand new race for the SCORE International series and the results were familiar; King Shocks racers were the fastest! Despite a 424 mile long course filled with silt, sharp rocks and tight technical sections, it turned into a sprint race with King Shocks racer and defending Trophy Truck Champion Steven Eugenio pushing hard to chase down King Shocks racer Lalo Laguna for the overall victory. Eugenio and Laguna represent the new guard of young racers who despite their ages, have years of desert racing experience with top-notch teams and equipment.  Laguna was out front during the race but Eugenio kept pursuing with a relentless pace. When the checkered flag waived, it was Laguna who took the overall win with Eugenio finishing second.

    “It was a flawless race for us,” said Laguna, “I am so happy to get the victory for King Shocks and my entire RPM racing team. My King shocks were amazing. Through the bumps, the jumps and the g-outs, the truck handled really well. King helped us tune the shocks; everything was working perfect. I was a little nervous about Eugenio making up time on us. We decided to pit for fuel only, no tires at our final pit stop. I knew my tires would be worn out in the last 90 mile, rocky section coming into Loreto; I had to be very cautious not to hit any rocks. I was able to put the truck where I wanted. We used the tires up, I came in on a flat tire but we did it! It feels good to battle with the best and come out on top.”

    Steven Eugenio shared driving duties with Armin Schwartz who took the truck off the start. The course was tight so he was held up behind other trucks during his stint behind the wheel. When Steven got in the truck he was determined to make up time on the field. “I went real deep into a corner trying to make a pass,” said Eugenio, “I almost lost it. I was thinking I better be patient or we could lose this race right here. I was making good time on second place Rob Mac. I caught him at race mile 260 but I had a pit stop at 340. I caught him again and passed him. It was so tight and technical coming into Loreto but it was so fast. Lalo deserved it, he owned the day. We gave him a run for it. We were catching him but ran out of road.”
