    April 27, 2011 –LAS VEGAS, NV: They go by many names – rock crawlers, rock racers, King of the Hammers cars, but to the devoted fans that closely follow the unlimited 4 wheel drive racing class that has evolved from King of the Hammers style events: They are known as Ultra4, and they are showing up in mass this weekend at the Best in the Desert Silver State 300.   • FOX RACING SHOX DOMINATE SCORE Trophy Truck RACING

    For the eighth time in a row at a SCORE desert race, FOX Racing Shox earned the top spot among the elite SCORE Trophy Truck class.  With victory at the 2011 San Felipe 250, Rob MacCachren continued the winning ways of SCORE Trophy Trucks equipped with FOX Racing Shox. Baja 1000 Champion, Andy McMillin started the FOX winning streak at the 2009 SCORE Baja 1000. Joining McMillin and MacCachren in the winner’s circle over the past two years are Jesse Jones, Gustavo Vildosola, and Bryce Menzies.

    Mike Childress and navigator Jimmy Hook stunned the competition when they bested a talent-rich field of 16 Class 1 Unlimited drivers at this year’s General Tire SNORE Mint 400.  “People were surprised that we beat Harvey Letner and TJ Flores in only our second race in the new THR Motorsports car,” Childress commented after the race, “but we have always known we have what it takes to win.”  Held within view of the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada, “The Great American Desert Race” is regarded as one of the most difficult and prestigious off-road races in the world.  The course features silt beds, miles of rocky moon-hills, sandy washes, high speed graded roads, and the infamous “Rock Garden”.
