  • Exit 28 Motorsports Park Opens Gates for Ultra4 Stampede Race

    RENO, NV   SEPTEMBER 1, 2010 ~ Exit 28 Motorsports Park is excited to host the Stampede race produced by Hammerking Productions and sponsored by ORI of Reno.  Designated spectator areas will be $10/per person per area, 10 years and under are free but must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and everyone is expected to stay behind the protective barriers.  The main parking area is free and accessible by passenger cars.  Wristbands can be pre-purchased on Thursday and Friday at the ORI of Reno display booth to help eliminate congestion on Saturday morning.

    The green flag will drop at 10am on Saturday September 11th and is expected to finish by 6pm. Please plan on coming early if you would like to see the beginning of the race, the road will be closed intermittently throughout the day as racecars cross.  There are two spectator friendly viewing areas with no stadium seating, camp chairs are recommended for all areas.   • New Poly Performance JK Coilover Kit

    San Luis Obispo, CA – Poly Performance has released a Jeep JK Coilover/Air Bump Conversion Kit, the ultimate addition to any JK aftermarket suspension system. This kit adds competition-bred long-travel performance using either 2-inch-diameter, 12- to 14-inch-travel Fox coilovers or up to 16-inch-travel Air Shocks (2.0-inch or 2.5-inch diameter). The JK Coilover Conversion Kit also allows for easy adjustments to ride height, spring rate, and compression/rebound damping adjustments.

    An optional Front Air Bump Kit adds race-proven 2-inch-diameter hydraulic bumpstops as a secondary suspension, to improve off-road comfort and durability. The Poly Performance upper towers and lower mounts are engineered to be compatible with common body lifts, engine lifts, on-board air systems, and aftermarket suspension systems. The JK Coilover Conversion Kit is supplied as one complete system or two individual sections (Front Kit and/or Front Air Bump Kit).

  • Labor Day Weekend VORRA Hawthorne 225 Desert Race

    Parade through Downtown, Dezert People 8 Movie Premier

    RENO,NV    AUGUST 31, 2010: The VORRA Hawthorne 225 desert race Labor Day Weekend will include a parade through downtown Hawthorne and the movie premier of Dezert People 8 at the El Capitan Lodge and Casino on Saturday September 4th.  The race will start Sunday morning at 8am.  The Hawthorne 225 is the fourth desert race in the 2010, eight race VORRA series that includes an additional four short course races.

    “The Hawthorne 225 track has some gnarly sections with a couple of rough spots on the north end and some very deep silt beds.  The roller coaster section is free of wash outs this year on the backside and is going to be a blast,” said Wes Harbor, VORRA Director.  The course is a 55-mile loop that drivers must complete 4 times to finish within the allotted time frame.
