  • Rick D. Johnson takes home first in Trick Truck and first overall for Team GT at 2010 BITD Vegas to Reno

    LAS VEGAS, NV – (August 23, 2010) – Team General Tire’s Rick D. Johnson stole the show with an incredible victory at the 2010 Best In The Desert Vegas to Reno Race Aug. 20, landing him not only first in Trick Truck, but first overall.

    The dust did more than soar for Johnson’s opponents at Friday’s heart-pounding BITD race – it consumed them. The Team General Tire Trick Truck driver left his contenders in a cloud of dust as he took an incredible 3-mile lead. He held his position strong, battling through the desert’s rugged terrain and remaining at the head of the pack at mile marker 355. (more…)

  • Roger Norman and Armin Schwartz Place 2nd in 2010 BITD Vegas to Reno

    RENO, NV     AUGUST 22, 2010  –  Roger Norman started 26th and finished 2nd, third overall, in the Crystal Bay Casino #8 Trick Truck class with Armin Schwartz joining the team for the 2010 Best In The Desert Vegas to Reno race.  After a bad qualifying run put them into the 26th spot to start, they overcame about 11 minutes of downtime working on the truck and still climbed up into 2nd out of 48 Class 1400 Trick Trucks registered for Friday August 20, 2010 race.

    “We had a great race and everything went really well overall!  I am glad that Armin was able to join us for his first experience in a trophy truck. It is tough because it is completely different to drive than a Class 1 car, but he did a great job!” said Norman. (more…)

  • Raceline Wheels Are Tough Enough to Keep Racers on Track

    GARDEN GROVE, CA    AUGUST 20, 2010:  Raceline Wheels are so tough they can run without a tire for multiple miles in the rough Nevada desert.  Jesse Haines crossed the finish line without a tire for over 10 miles, and Chris Ridgway made it 20 miles to the next pit on a Raceline Wheel.     MESA, AZ – AUGUST 18, 2010:   FAST-Aid is excited with the generous response for the families of the casualties and the injured at the MDR California 200 off road race accident that happened last weekend.  The entire Off Road Community has rallied together to raise over $107,000 within the week, but that is still $75,000+ away from reaching their estimated need to properly assist the families, injured and those in need of emotional support if they were at the scene of the accident.     By introducing competition based coilover shock technology to other aftermarket JK suspension platforms, the Poly Performance Jeep JK Coilover Conversion Kit allows for long travel 2.0″ Diameter Coilovers/Non-Coilovers and 2.0-2.5″ Air Shocks from 12″ to 14″ (up to 16″) travel for improving off-road driving performance and increasing wheel travel.
