Nice. We just routed silicone tube front to back on my buddy's Goatbuilt and it takes up way more space that we would have anticipated. @JohnnyJ

I have a bunch of left over SS bolts. Eventually I will change them over but too many other things to worry about now. At some point I need to start a thread with all the changes I have made to my "turn key" buggy. LOL

I have stainless Philips head screws right now and over time the heads are getting sloppy and burrs are on several. (using a cordless impact for fast and easy install doesn't help) Plus each one has a stainless washer under the head, which always get lost LOL. I like the female hex and flange...

It's coming together. Where did you find those flanged head bolts?

Love the high dollar headrests. I've often thought about going with low back seats and moving the headrest back a little to make it more comfortable to wear a helmet.

Yep I used Cartotracks during Trail Hero and I was very pleased with the detail.

    Hello from Flagstaff AZ

RE rear cutting brakes and rear locker, after having switched to this on my YJ, my new buggy is getting the same mod. And it's not just for rock crawling. It's also great for any tight turns in any condition - even snow. We were snow wheeling in the woods a couple weeks back and my buddy...

I turn my locker off all the time in dry conditions but pretty much leave it on in wet, mud or snow.

How tall is the mechanism not including the handle?

    Nylon brake lines

I linked my YJ in 2008 and used the plastic lines from Stock Car Products. To date I would say that 75% of the lines are original. (for those that are math challenged, that's 13 years. LOL) The reason the percentage isn't higher is because I changed out some of the rear when I added a cutting...

Who's dual handle cutting brake is that? I see Wilwood only makes a single handle.

    My new new

Yep, I spent the weekend replacing fatigued link bolts and a faulty shifter cable. (actually the link bolt subject is thread worthy - I just need to organize pics and thoughts) Profab, looking forward to what you do with the chassis.

I somewhat agree. The gauge in my YJ (aftermarket tank/sender) started out spot on. Now, a full tank (17 gal) = 3/4 on the gauge. WTF Empty on the gauge = 8 gallons left. (1/2 tank) Since I burn about 8 gallons on a full day of wheeling I just make sure I fill up or show at least a half...

No fuel gauge? Just make sure you are full at the start of the day and know you won't run out?

You are at one of the hardest stages. Nothing is set in stone so everything is a variable. Once you start locking in some decisions it will get a little easier.

    Cutting brakes

Woody, You use a dual lever and pull to engage? I've heard people say they get get better brake pressure by pushing. I'm sure part of it is the packaging. I've had a cutter brake in the back for some time but with a Grizzly it really only helped with front digs. Then added the ARB this year...

Finally finding time to pay attention to this thread. Great info! A couple questions. I have never actually seen a true definition of track width. I think it is outside of tire to outside of tire but I’ve heard it said center of tire to center of tire. Which is it? Rich, while on the phone...

Broken sign pics? My intro post only allowed 5. LOL I've got to get on a different computer but I'll post some up. Yep, the park opened September 17th. Currently they are limiting the capacity to 500 per day and I think they have had 6-8 days of sell outs. Due to the crazy government, they...

    Michigan guys wheel too

Time to sign up. I've been wheeling for over 40 years, mostly Jeeps and currently have 3. A 99 TJ, D44's & ARB's on 33's, a 90 YJ tons, reds, stretched, 6.0, Atlas and a buggy on 43 SX stickies that is titled as a 49 Willys. The TJ is a part time daily driver and I use it to run an off-road...
