Higher Gear Ratio (4.88 front vs 5.29 rear for example)
Front tires spin faster pulling the rear some. Can have an affect on chassis attitude/stability/control in various situations. Especially climbing and getting the fronts up before the rear pushes under the chassis.
Front Engine = Flip Diffs
Rear Engine = Standard Orientation Diffs
Front Engine from front view, engine and driveshafts (in forward) spin clockwise, this needs diffs flipped so the 2 gear portal output is correct
Rear Engine from front view, engine and driveshafts spin counterclockwise
Seems like the 2 guidelines I’ve heard over the years…
“If it’s not good at driving on the road, it’ll flat tow even worse.”
and
“Flat towing will push around a borderline tow vehicle more than a trailer despite the added weight of towing on a trailer.”
