As in our country we have more restrictions than laws I have to come to Moab to do real jeeping.

2-3 times a year I spend some days on the Moab trails, but I would like to see the beautiful trails in Ouray or Telluride as well in future. Sand Hollow also offers difficult obstacles.

But rental jeep companies don’t allow me to do all the trails I want to drive. Pritchett Canyon in Moab is one of those trails, at least I was allowed to do Cliffhanger trail in Moab. I posted a short video of my drive through the obstacle last year and someone of Motor1 found it and published it (below is a link to watch).

While looking for my own trail rig, I came across this forum.

Watch Jeep Wrangler Tackle Moab's Terrifying Cliffhanger Trail (motor1.com)

P.S.: Next time I come to Moab is end of September 2024 and then in 2025 to the Easter Safari. Perhaps in between, if I find a suitable trail rig.

Some pics:
The black one is my JLU in Bavaria (only 37" and 3,5" lift - that's maximum in Germany) - the white one is a rental jeep in Moab. Need my own rig soon... 😀

Sorry for late response.
The picture you post here doesn't look like fun. The main thing is that no one was injured. Rory Irish had a difficult task up there probably.
At that point I was prepared to press the accelerator pedal briefly in case the car should lean further.

I'll be at EJS in Moab with my son for all days. Perhaps I can find a good trail rig then.
Is anyone there ?

Cliffhanger can be a tough trail. I was running it a few years back...
Yes, I like Cliffhanger very much, it's getting harder every year but I'd like to to even more demanding trails like Pritchett Canyon or perhaps even Coyote Canyon in Moab.
With rental cars that is not permitted, Cliffhanger is maximum. Soft trails as Poison Spider or Hell's Revenge I drove almost 10 times, but there is no challenge!
That's why I'm looking for my own trail rig (JL od JK with min 40" and 60 axles or even more extreme, but steet legal).
I have an insurance broker and I have a storage in Moab.
If anyone has got an idea of a suitable car, I'm in Moab all days during Easter Safari.

Cliffhanger offers lots of nice rollover possibilities...;)
