Project: Lead Draw Single-Track Trail Build
Location: Idaho
Description: On September 20, 2025, 40 dedicated volunteers from Eastern Idaho came together at the Lead Draw recreation area to reroute and build two miles of new single track motorcycle trail. This project addressed a long-standing safety concern by guiding riders and hikers away from a heavily used shooting area.
The effort was a collaboration between Idaho Parks and Recreation, the Idaho Single Track Alliance, and the Westside Ranger District. Idaho Parks helped with trail cutting, while the Single Track Alliance and Ranger District provided key support and coordination.
Most importantly, the hard work of the 40 volunteers, who gave up their Saturday to dig, clear, and shape the new trail, was the heart of the project. Their efforts not only improve safety but also enhance the overall trail experience, ensuring Lead Draw remains a safe, enjoyable, and sustainable recreation area for years to come.
Thank you to the partners who made this possible:
