Project: Parker 400 Desert Cleanup
Location: Arizona
Description: Parker, Arizona is home to some of the state’s best off-road desert trail riding. On January 6, 2024, the off-roading industry gathered for the inaugural Parker 400 Desert Cleanup with UNLTD Off-Road Racing to leave the desert better than they found it. In total, 100 volunteers cleaned up 24,000 pounds of trash, improving 35 miles of desert.
Volunteers from near and far removed illegally dumped items like tires, vehicle body frames and even a fully intact jet ski from the desert.
Parker hosts many off-road events each year and it is great to see the industry not only giving back to the land they use, but leaving it better than they found it. While this cleanup took place ahead of the Parker 400 race, another final cleanup also took place after the race to ensure minimal impact on this beautiful area.
