Project: Red Springs Kiosk Installation
Location: Arizona

Description: On April 27, 2024, Tread Lightly! worked with the Trail Riders of Southern Arizona (TRS) and the Coronado National Forest to design and produce signs for the Red Springs Single Track Trail. A small but capable group of six TRS volunteers completed the kiosk installation.

The kiosk displays a new, large trail map, area information, trail etiquette and T.R.E.A.D. Principle tips. This is the first-ever kiosk and signage on the Red Springs Single Track Trail and will help educate riders to minimize their impact on 25 miles of trail.

Thank you to the partners who made this possible:

“The Tread Lightly! design team helped the Coronado coordinate the design and installation of one 3-panel kiosk for a relatively new area of motorized single track. Working with Tread Lightly! reduced the implementation timeline from what the Forest Service could have turned around relying on internal program managers. The Tread Lightly! design team was responsive and good to work with.”-.Lauren Atkinson Asst. Forest Recreation Staff Officer
