Project: Bronco Wild Fund – Salmon-Challis Kiosk Project
Location: Valley Creek, Idaho
Description:
With generous support from Bronco Wild Fund, eight Bronco Drivers and Tread Lightly! along with the Salmon-Challis Ranger District and Idaho Parks and Recreation worked to install new interpretive rider education kiosks in the Cape Horn area near Stanley, Idaho.
This unique trail system is nestled at the doorstep to the Sawtooth Wilderness Area. One of the most picturesque locations in the world and a highly visited recreation area in central Idaho. During the 2-day event, the volunteers were supported by U.S. Forest Service, Idaho Parks and Recreation, Tread Lightly! Team to ensure this trails system stays open for future use and has the appropriate rider education and mapping information to keep tires on the trail and public lands open to motorized recreation.
This project supported a 12-mile loop of motorized trail that is part of a much bigger trail system including hundreds of miles of designated trail and forest roads. Projects like this embody the Bronco spirit of adventure and “Built Wild” while bringing great people together to do great things for public lands and sustainable motorized access.

The previous kiosk had been in disrepair for many years and needed replaced.
