    New Tools Provide Technicians with Greater Leverage, Speed and Access

    SPARKS, MD (April 14, 2015)­ GearWrench®, a premier hand tool brand known for tools that deliver speed, strength and access to automotive technicians, today announced its new 36-inch long 3/4″ Drive Knurled Chrome Ratchet Handle (SKU: 81403). Also announced was the availability of its 3/4″ Drive Quick Release 24-Tooth Ratchet Head (SKU: 81402) as an open stock item. The ratchet head was previously available only as part of the GearWrench 3/4″ Drive Quick Release Ratchet (SKU: 81400) which comes with a 19-inch handle.

    “Technicians often require more leverage than can be applied to a 19″ ratchet,” said Jim Stewart, product manager for GearWrench. “Technicians have been asking for interchangeable heads and handles. This line expansion responds to their needs for flexibility and leverage in the shop.”

    The new 36-inch long handle works with the 81402 head and is interchangeable with the current 19″ handle on the existing 81400 ratchet. It has a spring-loaded detent pin that securely attaches the handle to the ratchet head.

    The ratchet head features a 24-tooth design, reversible mechanism and quick release socket retention, all of which improve speed. Its teardrop shape offers improved access while the 36-inch full polished knurled chrome handle offers additional leverage and superior grip.

    unnamedThe weather during the 49th Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari couldn’t have been better and Team Four Corners 4×4 was there to take in the entire experience!  Portions of the team arrived at Area BFE, the group’s base camp for the week, on Monday afternoon with plenty of time to set up camp, soak up the sunset, and have our first campfire of the week.
