  • ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2015-UP Ford F-150 4WD 2.5″ Suspension Systems

ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2015-UP Ford F-150 4WD 2.5″ Suspension Systems

The “more powerful, capable & advanced” 2015 Ford F-150 is a great pickup truck with a long heritage of being one of the toughest vehicles on the road. With several changes making their way into production for 2015 including an all new aluminum body, ICON was anxious to get this truck into R&D to see what improvements could be made to the stock suspension.

    unnamed 2

ICON engineers performed a complete analysis of the new truck in stock form with a primary goal of identifying any limiting factors and weak points in OE components. Once this process was complete focus shifted to CAD development, in-house dyno testing, and real world ride tuning in an effort to address these issues while increasing wheel travel and overall shock damping ability. With the redesigned aluminum body featured on the 2015 F-150, ICON engineers spent a significant amount of time developing a new shock valving that addressed the “slimmer” truck’s ride characteristics. This research and development process yielded a collection of products including coilovers, rear shocks, and tubular steel upper control arms that have been organized into several staged systems that offer unique levels of performance for the new Ford. These systems increase wheel travel by 12.5% over stock while drastically improving on and off-road ride quality.

    unnamed 3

In standard ICON fashion a remarkable level of performance is established with the Stage 1 system, which includes vehicle-specific tuned 2.5 Series coilover shocks and ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series monotube rear shocks that are both 100% rebuildable and revalvable. As the stages increase, the ability of the vehicle to handle exceptionally well in harsh off-road conditions is also increased with the addition of remote reservoir coilovers, 2.5 Series rear shocks, uniball upper control arms, and CDCV (Compression Damping Control Valve) technology. ICON’s 2015 F-150 suspension systems offer up to 2.5” of lift height, allowing for the fitment of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. A 100% bolt-on design makes for a simplified and straightforward install while allowing for the ability for the vehicle to be returned to stock form if need be.

ICON products are all proudly made in the USA at our Southern California-based facility by a team of passionate off-road enthusiasts. With our reputation for quality, performance, and service, it’s clear that ICON Vehicle Dynamics is the top choice for performance suspension systems and shock absorbers for 2015 Ford F-150 4WD pickups.

  • ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2010-UP Jeep Grand Cherokee 0-2″ Suspension System

ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2010-UP Jeep Grand Cherokee 0-2″ Suspension System

After hours of in-house shock dyno analysis and miles of on and off-road ride tuning, ICON Vehicle Dynamics is excited to announce the release of a 0-2” Suspension System for the 2010-UP Jeep Grand Cherokee. As more and more modern SUV’s focus on creature comforts and styling, the Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) is a surprisingly capable vehicle that can easily serve double-duty as both a refined daily driver and a trail-ready weekend warrior.

    unnamed 2

ICON engineers developed the 0-2” Suspension System to offer increased wheel travel, decreased body roll, and a more confidence-inspiring ride characteristic. The mild lift that this system provides also allows for the fitment of larger wheel and tire combinations that will increase ground clearance – a big plus for those taking their Grand Cherokee off the beaten path. ICON has developed a vehicle-specific valving for 2.5 Series coilovers and rear shocks featured in this kit, which translates into an excellent ride across almost any terrain. These components are also 100% rebuildable and revalveable, which means they are the last set of shocks that will ever need to be installed on the vehicle.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics products are all proudly made in the USA at our Southern California-based facility by a team of passionate off-road enthusiasts. With a reputation for quality, performance, and service ICON is the top choice when it comes to suspension for the 2010-UP Jeep Grand Cherokee.

    ICON 2014-UP RAM 2500 4WD 2.5″ Suspension Systems

unnamed (4)The 2014 RAM 2500 4WD is a heavy-duty beast of a truck suited for use as a job site workhorse, a family toy hauler for those weekend getaways, or an off-road rig capable of taking some serious abuse in the dirt. The new RAM’s suspension has been completely redesigned with a radius arm front end and a multi-link, coil sprung rear. Because of this, ICON engineers had to step back and approach this platform from a new angle to develop an entirely new set of components that would deliver both ride quality and performance.  (more…)
