ATTICA, IN, July 2nd 2013: More than 30 teams competed in the 2nd Annual ULTRA4 race held at Badlands Off-Road Park last Saturday as part of the Ultimate Motorsport Championship in Attica, IN. While the course layout was similar to last year, the dry and dusty conditions of 2012 were replaced with heavy rain and extensive mud. Thousands of fans braved the wet and mucky conditions for a chance to see some of their favorite ULTRA4 drivers compete in a course that featured a newly created off road amphitheater and a technical rock quarry made even more punishing due to the slick conditions. Rock was the second ever two-day event comprised of the Trail Gear Western Series Professional Rock Crawling on Saturday, May 11th and the National Dirt Riot 4×4 Endurance Racing Southwest Regional race on Mother’s Day Sunday, May 12th. The events took place at Three Peaks Recreation area, just outside of Cedar City, Utah. “We had a lot of families here celebrating Mother’s Day and I am thankful for all the drivers that put on an awesome show for them both Saturday at the Rock Crawl and Sunday at the Dirt Riot race!” said Rich Klein, President and founder of W.E. Rock Events. “This is the first time in several years that we have used BLM property. It was with great pleasure that we can say how successful it was. RENO, NV SEPTEMBER 13, 2011 JT Taylor, Team Manager for Torchmate Racing, took the win at the Ultra4 Torchmate Stampede in Reno, NV on Saturday September 10th. The 130 mile Northern Nevada race boasted as the hardest Ultra4 race yet by promoter Dave Cole, even tougher than the King of the Hammers, makes the win even stronger. “This is a huge deal for Torchmate and this win is a long time coming for me. We knew we couldn’t let off and had to run a fast and consistent pace because there were 45 quality racers chasing me down… so, this is a big frickin deal,” said JT Taylor at the awards ceremony Saturday night as the crowd of racers cheered. Torchmate Racing Has A 4 Car Finish at Silver State 300
RENO, NV MAY 16, 2011 Torchmate Racing had four cars cross the finish line at the Silver State 300; one Class 1000 and three Class 4400. In a valiant effort, Class 1000 Mike Shaffer placed third in their second race in the new car. Also in a new car, JT Taylor placed 4th in the 4400 class with Roger Lovell placing 12th and Jesse Haines placing 9th securing himself a place in the 2012 King of the Hammers after completing the 300 mile desert race.
