  • Rick Huseman Named 2010 Dirt Sports Magazine “Driver of the Year”

    David Caspino, Loren Healy and CJ Greaves Also Honored by Publication

    February 14, 2011 (Long Beach, Calif.) – With a little more than a month before the 2011 short course season kicks-off at Firebird International Raceway, defending Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS) Pro 4 Unlimited champion Rick Huseman added a final exclamation point to his historic 2010 campaign by being honored by Ryan Communications Group’s (RCG) Dirt Sports Magazine as “2010 Driver of the Year.” The talented and determined Huseman took top honors in this year’s selection, but was also joined by fellow racers David Caspino as “2010 Desert Racer of the Year,” Loren Healy as “2010 Rock Racer of the Year,” and young Colton “CJ” Greaves, who was named as the magazine’s “2010 Rookie of the Year.” (more…)

  • Speed Technologies Finishes Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series

    Mitchell DeJong Crowned Trophy Kart Champion

    RENO, NV – DECEMBER 22, 2010:  The Speed Technologies team took the checker flag on the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at the Firebird Raceway in Arizona, and then followed it with a shot at the Rockstar Energy Challenge Cup in an all-or-nothing season finale showdown.  Mitchell DeJong had clinched the Trophy Kart Championship going into the race, and was crowned at the end of the day.   • SuperLite Championship Series Crowned Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg Season Champion and Rookie of the Year

    Kyle LeDuc takes Two Wins and $10,000

    RENO, NV – DECEMBER 21, 2010:  The SuperLite Championship series came into the final round of the Lucas Oil Off Road Series at Firebird Raceway in Arizona with the Season Championship points battle undecided and five potential winners.  When the dust settled Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg took the titles of SuperLite Season Champion and Rookie of the Year, while Kyle LeDuc had a perfect weekend taking the win on Saturday and the $10,000 Challenge Cup purse on Sunday.   • Rockstar Energy Drink / Makita Tools Team LeDuc Racing Dominates The LOORS Competition And Captures Rockstar Energy Lucas Oil Off Road Challenge Cup

    The Rockstar Energy Drink / Makita Tools short course racing team of Curt, Kyle, and Todd LeDuc came to Firebird International Raceway for the season finale of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing (LOORS) short course racing with a score to settle.  By their own admission, Rounds 13 and 14 of the short course series in Las Vegas did not go as well as they had hoped.  Lesser teams might let this affect them mentally, but the Rockstar Energy Drink / Makita Tools team drew upon their years of experience and came to Phoenix with renewed purpose.   • Team General Tire storms Round 13 and 14 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series in Las Vegas with six podium finishes

    LAS VEGAS – (Nov. 10, 2010) – The beautiful sunny and clear Las Vegas weather didn’t disappoint this weekend, and neither did the action-packed Round 13 and 14 races of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Nov. 6 and 7.

    The Round 13 Pro 2 Unlimited race Saturday saw an intense neck-and-neck battle for first place between two members of Team General Tire, Carl Renezeder and Robby Woods.  Woods and Renezeder led the pack for the entirety of the race, creating a daunting gap for rest of the drivers to overcome. After several turns, Renezeder pushed hard to take first position from Woods in turn eight and held the lead till the race’s end, taking home first place with Woods in second. Woods celebrated his first podium finish in 2010. The extreme action continued at the Pro 4 race Saturday where Renezeder made his mark once more, stealing second in the final lap. (more…)

    Father-and-sons off-road race team begins season with strong performance in Las Vegas

    MARCH 9, 2010 – La Mirada, Calif. – Rockstar Energy/Makita Team LeDuc Racing launched a new season of short course off road racing at the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series opener in Las Vegas last weekend. Makita joins Rockstar Energy as a 2010 sponsor of Team LeDuc Racing, marking their third season of partnership.
