    JT TaylorCOLORADO SPRINGS, CO     JANUARY 29, 2014   February 7th will mark the 8thgreen flag that JT Taylor has taken at Johnson Valley for what started as a small group of guys competing for a 6pack of beer in 2007, to a full blown week event with over 300 racers in the now Internationally known race: 2014 Griffin King of the Hammers presented by Nitto Tires.  JT Taylor has notably driven the same car at 7 of the 8 events, with a 12th place finish in 2013.  In 2011, he drove the Torchmate TTB car.   • JT Taylor Takes 12th Checkered Flag at 2013 King of the Hammers

    JT Taylor KOH 2013COLORADO SPRINGS, CO     FEBRUARY 11, 2013   With months of prep behind them, OG13 JT Taylor, co-driver Doug Nagy and crew headed out with the Torchmate #13 racer to the sand and rocks of Lucerne Valley, CA.  Pre-running the racecourse on Sunday and Monday, and then qualifying on Tuesday went well. JT took it easy on the car during qualifying putting them in the 85th starting position out of 127 starters. By the end of the day on Friday, they had earned a 12th place finishing position of only 19 finishers within the time limit, where only 27 actually finished the race. (more…)

    During the month of August, Torchmate Racing will accept sponsorship proposals for its 2013 Motorsports Marketing Campaign. Torchmate Racing is seeking a wide variety of marketing partners including: racing team members, fabrication events, metal designers, shops, athletes and metal artists.

  • JT Taylor Ultra4 Car Takes Green Flag at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway

    crandonCOLORADO SPRINGS, CO    JUNE 13, 2012  –  JT Taylor is headed to Crandon International Off-Road Raceway to take the Torchmate / Tube Shark Ultra4 car and put it in the Big House for the inaugural Ultra4 event.  “There is no way I was going to miss an opportunity to race this weekend,” said JT Taylor.  “After going to Crandon for the last two years pitting for Brad Lovell and learning the history, I know that this is yet another opportunity to show the capabilities of our Rock Buggies.” (more…)

  • JT Taylor Races NORRA Mexican 1000 in Ultra4 Car

    ultra4COLORADO SPRINGS, CO    APRIL 22, 2012  –  JT Taylor will be taking the Torchmate / Tube Shark Ultra4 car south of the border to compete in the four day 2012 General Tire NORRA Mexican 1000 Race.  This will be the first effort for an Ultra4 car to compete in this style of race.  “This will be my third time participating in this race and taking my car makes it even more special this year,” said JT Taylor. “The roots of Baja racing are part of this race but this effort will be the OG of desert racing.” (more…)

  • Torchmate Racing helps keep Moab beautiful

    torchmateFollowing the 2005 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab Utah Jeff Knoll and his family read an article in the Moab newspaper about an environmentalists named Sara Melnicoff who was cleaning up the amazing mess left by off roaders who chose to party at Potato Salad hill.  Knoll and family presented a challenge to keep the area clean the following year which the online 4 wheeling community has spun into a yearly cleanup and proactive approach to management of the area during safari.
