Rosser Roundup '99
K Trail

Mud mud mud. At one point, we came to a huge mud-bog. Though the first rig that attempted it had 39" tires, several smaller rigs had to also try it. Most of the gang took the nice, safe, bypass.

This CJ-7 made it less than 10 feet before stopping dead in it's tracks.

Get ready to take a dive for that tow hook!

Rosser Roundup
Stringbean is in the photo in his Bronco...I swear.

Rosser Roundup
Gee, Dad, sorry. I really thought we could make it.

Jason Haller gives it all he's got in his 2.5L YJ. He ended up flooding his clutch and getting towed all the way back to camp.

Rosser Roundup
We really thought this 39" Bogger-wearing Chevy would walk right through the bog...

Rosser Roundup
...however, the truck blew 3 tires of their beads at the same time!

Rosser Roundup
Thanks to Todd Rosser for pullling Lil Bear out of the bog so we could work on it.

Rosser Roundup
We spent close to two hours trying to extract the truck and get it rolling again.

Rosser Roundup
Using a winch cable and an air compressor we managed to remount two tires. A Toyota had a matching wheel to loan to get us back on the trail.

More K-Trail!
