First Ever ULTRA4 Win for “EZ” Rick Mooneyham

"EZ" Rick MooneyhamTOOELE, UT July 16th, 2013: Driver “EZ” Rick Mooneyham is no stranger to the ULTRA4 podium.  Over the years, he’s been one of the most consistent top three finishers at the Griffin King of The Hammers Presented by Nitto Tire. However, despite all of his podium finishes, a first place trophy had proved elusive to Mooneyham; that is until last weekend’s American Rocksports Challenge held at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT where Mooneyham crushed the competition and claimed first place finishing nearly 45 seconds ahead of Shannon Campbell. Brad Lovell Declared 2012 Ultra4 Pro Series Champion

September 26, 2012- Twin Peaks, CA: The 2012 Ultra4 Pro Series Championship began with the 2012 Griffin King of The Hammers and ended with the 2012 Ultra4 American Rocksports Championship last weekend in Tooele, Utah. More than 50 drivers from 20 states competed for a chance to be named the 2012 Ultra4 Pro Series Champion. Ultimately, Ultra4 veteran and short course champion, Brad Lovell, would claim the title.

The 2012 Ultra4 Pro Series Championship consisted of three races. Each race was meant to highlight the unique characteristics and strengths of Ultra4 cars. The three races for this year’s series were: 2012 Griffin King of The Hammers, which emphasized high speed desert racing, endurance and rock crawling, Best in the Desert’s Vegas to Reno; a 500+ mile race through the Nevada desert that tested both cars and drivers endurance, and The American Rocksports Challenge which combined short course racing and rock crawling with multiple cars competing simultaneously in a series of heat races. July 19, 2011 –Tooele, UT:  Team GenRight’s Kevin Sacalas beat out this year’s King of The Hammers winner and current Ultra4 Series leader, Shannon Campbell to take the victory at the American Rocksports Challenge. The event took place at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT. The American Rocksports Challenge combines a rock-crawling obstacle course with a short course track. A total of 40 Ultra4 drivers raced against each other in a progression of 12 races that narrowed down the field to the top placing drivers.  Read More→
