RENO, NV AUGUST 26, 2010 – Norman Motorsports in El Cajon, CA will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit FAST-Aid, Cruz Roja and the Emergency Services of Erendira this Saturday August 28, 2010, doors open at 2pm. The premier of Dezert People 8 will be at 3pm and will show continuously throughout the afternoon. Charity gaming, a silent auction and other fun activities will round off the evening.

The $30 per person admission to the fundraiser includes a copy of Dezert People 8 and will benefit Cruz Roja, the Red Cross of Baja. Azunia Tequila, PBR, Rockstar and Pepsi will be stocking the Baja Fools bar, and Locos Mocos and Baja Pits will be manning the Taco Stand with all proceeds from the donation jar going to FAST-Aid. The Black Jack, Craps, and Roulette Charity gaming proceeds will be donated to the Emergency Services of Erendira in collaboration with Tim Morton of Baja Bound Adventures.
The silent auction benefiting FAST-Aid and Cruz Roja, the Red Cross of Baja, will have thousands of dollars worth of items featuring a hand illustration by Mark Pettit, Marks in the Dirt, one of three Baja 2000 banners ever produced and autographed celebrity memorabilia. The auction will also include donations from Norman Motorsports, Patton Racing Engines, Method Wheels, BFGoodrich Tires, UFC, Dezert People, Mastercraft Seats, Rigid Industries, General Tire, Cuisinart Wine Coolers, and Furnishings from William Sonoma and Pottery Barn.
“I am glad that we have the facility and ability to open the doors to events like these,” said Roger Norman. “It is a great way to get racers and fans together for great causes, and of course talk racing!” Norman Motorsports shop has been featured on Baja Garages on the Outdoor Channel and in Dirt Sports Magazine. All of the race and chase vehicles will be on display surrounding the charity gaming tables. There are sure to be multiple celebrities and motorsports legends in attendance.
