Impact Introduces the RallyX Helmet

Developed & Tested by Brian Deegan; Robby Gordon will Debut the RallyX Helmet at the Dakar Rally
Impact Introduces the RallyX Helmet Rally driving has its own unique sets of challenges, as well as unique equipment.  Recognizing these needs, Impact by MasterCraft Safety recently added the RallyX helmet to their line of industry leading safety equipment.  Impact’s RallyX has been in development and testing by some of the most recognizable names in the action motorsports arena and is now officially available for purchase!  Brian Deegan a.k.a “The General” is one of the winningest athletes in X Games history and has been integral in the testing and development of Impact’s RallyX helmet.  He wore it during the 2012 Summer X Games and throughout his heated battle with Tanner Foust for this year’s Global Rally Cross Championship.
Impact’s RallyX is also making its debut at the most grueling motorsports event in the world, the 2013 Dakar Rally.  Speed Energy Drink and Impact athlete Robby Gordon along with navigator Kellon Walch take on the X-Raid juggernaut Monster Mini team starting on January 5th, 2013 in Lima, Peru.  For this rematch, Gordon has chosen a unique livery for his RallyX with custom paint by Beam Designs that capitalizes upon and renews last year’s very public rivalry between the two energy-drink fueled teams.
Impact’s RallyX helmet is constructed using the latest in ultra-lightweight composite materials and features an extra comfortable fit with the use of soft-knit Nomex interior lining.  This helmet was designed specifically for the racer wanting a SNELL 2010 rated helmet but not necessarily needing full-face protection, including Autocross and ProTouring.  Head and Neck device restraint clips can be installed and the American made RallyX can be wired with a communications system.  The RallyX includes an adjustable sun visor and standard colors include white, silver, black, or flat black in sizes ranging from XS to XL.

Impact and MasterCraft Safety CEO Robbie Pierce has always been big on safety; that is no secret.  Pierce runs the same products he sells to the public when behind the wheel of his 800 horsepower Trophy Truck, from his seat and restraints to his driver suit and helmet.  “We offer the same quality products to everyone, whether you are Robby Gordon or a weekend racer,” Pierce noted. In addition to being used in some of the extreme forms of racing that Deegan and Robby Gordon compete in, the RallyX helmet is also ideal for racers taking to the ProTouring and AutoCross tracks.  Off-road racers with the good fortune of having a luxury pre-runner or buggy with a windshield can also realize the benefits of the RallyX during their Baja pre-run adventures.

Based in Santee, California, MasterCraft Safety is the leading manufacturer of driving suits, window nets, and innovative energy attenuating safety seating and restraint systems custom tailored to endure the most extreme environmental conditions and off-road terrain.  In addition to three decades of real world testing in the most extreme racing conditions, independent tests by nationally recognized laboratories indicate the MasterCraft Safety energy attenuating seat directly resulted in an 84% reduction of energy in a 55 “G” load event.  Additional testing in the +Z axis has resulted in impressive Dynamic Response Index data of 13.7 in a (nominal) 350G impact.
