Impact Shows Their True Colors With Affordable New Race Suits

e1360806157Impact by MasterCraft Safety is now offering their popular Racer driving suit in new color combinations.  Black with light grey, black with red, and black with blue join the single color suits for a custom look at an affordable price.  With sizes ranging from Small to XXX-Large there is a suit for every size, shape, and taste.  The Racer is a two layer, SFI 3.2A/5 rated suit packed full of features normally found on suits that cost twice as much.  For only $599 ($699 for XXX-Large) you can have American made quality, style, and comfort with 360 degree floating sleeves, extra deep pockets, and a bootcut fit.  Inside the fashionable matte-finish Futura Nomex, the ImpactMax lightweight inner liner offers breathable moisture wicking comfort while the box quilting offers valuable thermal protection. Prefer a two piece driving suit?  The same great features and color options are also available on Impact’s popular Team Drag jackets and pants, available in either SFI 15 or SFI 20 and used everywhere from the local dragstrip to NHRA’s Countdown to the Championship.
Like all Impact race suits, the Racer and Team Drag are handcrafted in the motorsports capital of the world, Indianapolis.  All Impact SFI-rated 3.2A/15 and 3.2A/20 suits with a year of manufacture of 2010 or later can be returned to Impact for recertification for a nominal charge, regardless of the color combination or application, and the suit should be cleaned prior to shipping it to Indianapolis.  Note that just returning the suit to Impact does not guarantee recertification.  Each driver suit is subjected to a thorough inspection for rips, tears, fuel saturation, and other signs that the safety of the product might be compromised.
What is the purpose of recertification?  “During the manufacturing process all race suits certified by SFI have to conform to certain established criteria,” explains Impact’s Vice President of Sales, Ben O’Connnor.  “Once the suit leaves our hands, we have no control over what it is subjected to.  By returning the suit to us, our skilled staff can confirm that the suit still meets the SFI standards for safety.”  Each 3.2A/15 or higher driver suit must be inspected every five years, and if the suit is determined to be acceptable, a new conformance label is added with the year of inspection.  After that you are back to the races. Based in Santee, California, MasterCraft Safety is the leading manufacturer of driving suits, window nets, and innovative energy attenuating safety seating and restraint systems custom tailored to endure the most extreme environmental conditions and off-road terrain.  In addition to three decades of real world testing in the most extreme racing conditions, independent tests by nationally recognized laboratories indicate the MasterCraft Safety energy attenuating seat directly resulted in an 84% reduction of energy in a 55 “G” load event.  Additional testing in the +Z axis has resulted in impressive Dynamic Response Index data of 13.7 in a (nominal) 350G impact. These qualities and craftsmanship make MasterCraft seats the leading choice for environments where safety can mean the difference between life and death, from desert racing to hostile territory overseas.
