Cal4Wheel’s $5 raffle Jeep JK

For the past 30 years, the California Association of 4WD clubs (CA4WDC) has purchased a Jeep, modified it for real-world four wheeling, and raffled it off for less than the cost of a jumbo mocha. The tradition continues this year with a 2014 4-door Jeep JK Wrangler, custom prepared for overland adventure travel.

This year’s Jeep was given a total makeover by MetalCloak Industries, who fitted it with their high-clearance fenders, MetalCloak Game Changer suspension with Old Man Emu shocks, and heavy-duty Rocker bumpers. A Superchip motivated Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 distributes power to a Dynatrac front axle, front and rear Eaton electric locking differentials, Sierra Gear ring & pinion gears, and G2 axles. Reid steering knuckles control a set of BFGoodrich Mud Terrains mounted on Raceline wheels, and the undercarriage, including a Magnaflow exhaust system, is protected by Rock Hard skid plates. Safety/recovery equipment includes a Warn Zeon 8000 winch, Factor 55 ProLink, PowerTank, and Rock Hard cage, and LED lighting from Rigid, Olympus, and Two Guys Trail Gear. Other enhancements include an AEV snorkel and hood, Kargo Master roof rack, ARB Fridge/Freezer and Simpson III roof top tent, and Daystar Cam Cans.

The winning ticket will be drawn February 21st, 2015 at the CA4WDC convention in Visalia, CA, and you need not be present to win. Bushwacker to Donate Money to SEMA Cares Committee

Portland, OR (10/10/14) — Bushwacker will make up to ten $100 donations to the SEMA Cares Committee for the first 10 members of the media who register for the Bushwacker Founder’s Award Press Conference. The press conference will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, November 6 in the Bushwacker booth (#30017, upper South Hall) at the 2014 SEMA Show; registration begins at 2:45pm. The SEMA Cares Committee, established by the SEMA Board of Directors in 2007, aims to bring the voice and resources of the SEMA community together to make a positive difference in the lives of others. With Steering issues in the first two races of the season, and a catastrophic suspension failure in Cortez, Crawlorado Racing was looking to see the checkered flag and receive a Finisher pin in in the Dirt Riot National Rampage in Bridgeport, TX. With only a few weeks before the race Trevor Ritch made a last minute decision to get the #76 Rusty Mustard FJ40 back together and head to Texas. 2014 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo Wraps-Up Busy Weekend at Fairplex

POMONA, Calif. (October 8, 2014) – The 2014 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo powered by General Tire drew more than 67,000 fans to Pomona on October 4 and 5, up more than three percent over last year. Fans braved the Southern California heat to check out the hottest collection of off-road vehicles, products and accessories. From Red Bull motocross trials to hands-on off-road ride and drives, the annual event showcased 325 exhibitors, seven interactive demos and more than 10 acres of hands-on off-road fun, at Fairplex.
