    GEORGETOWN, CA – NOVEMBER 17, 2010:  Pirate4x4.com will be hosting coverage of the 2010 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.  The coverage team will bring you the lifestyle of pre-running, contingency day interviews, and interactive race day coverage as we start in Ensanada and run to La Paz, over 1060 race miles to the finish line.

    Coverage pages will be updated daily starting Saturday November 13 at http://www.pirate4x4.com/trailreports/baja-1000-2010.  Race Day coverage will begin Thursday morning and will include a live chat where we will be uploading pictures and information instantly from the course, at the pits, and on the road.   • Carolina Trail Blazers celebrate 40 continuous years

    In the ever changing world of the 4×4 enthusiast, 2011 will bring a remarkable milestone for one of the South’s oldest 4×4 clubs. The Carolina Trail Blazers will celebrate 40 continuous years as a 4×4 organization dedicated to family oriented 4×4 fun.

    Early in 1971 an advertisement appeared in The Charlotte (N.C.) Observer newspaper. It was an open invitation for anyone interested in forming a 4wd club to meet at Table Rock in western North Carolina. 21 folks showed up for that inaugural meeting which became the Carolina Trail Blazers 4wd Club Inc.     ORANGE COUNTY, CA – With the annual Wahoo’s Baja Support Run scheduled for Tuesday, November 16th, event organizers today announced that this year’s effort has set a new record for corporate and private donations. The unique effort which donates much-needed food, supplies and support to the very deserving children’s orphanage of Rancho El Milagro (www.ranchomilagro.org) near Ensenada, Baja, Mexico, has collectively raised more than $16,000 in support for this week’s support run, which takes place in conjunction with the legendary 43rd Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.     Unique Program Combines Corporate Focus to Aid Needy Mexican Children’s Orphanage at SCORE Baja 1000 Off-Road Race

    ORANGE COUNTY, CA – For the fourth year in a row, a team of charity-minded businesses and off-road racers have joined forces to create the “Wahoo’s Baja Support Run IV” at next week’s Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.

    The unique effort donates much-needed food, supplies and support to the very deserving children’s orphanage. The orphanage is located just outside of Ensenada, Baja, Mexico, the seaside town located just a short drive south of downtown San Diego that has also served as the starting point for the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 and Baja 500 off-road races since 1967. The effort is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 16th beginning in downtown Ensenada followed by a special police escort and parade through the streets up to the orphanage itself. (more…)

  • Team General Tire storms Round 13 and 14 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series in Las Vegas with six podium finishes

    LAS VEGAS – (Nov. 10, 2010) – The beautiful sunny and clear Las Vegas weather didn’t disappoint this weekend, and neither did the action-packed Round 13 and 14 races of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Nov. 6 and 7.

    The Round 13 Pro 2 Unlimited race Saturday saw an intense neck-and-neck battle for first place between two members of Team General Tire, Carl Renezeder and Robby Woods.  Woods and Renezeder led the pack for the entirety of the race, creating a daunting gap for rest of the drivers to overcome. After several turns, Renezeder pushed hard to take first position from Woods in turn eight and held the lead till the race’s end, taking home first place with Woods in second. Woods celebrated his first podium finish in 2010. The extreme action continued at the Pro 4 race Saturday where Renezeder made his mark once more, stealing second in the final lap. (more…)
