Yes sir it is. Same here with Toyota’s, been on them for 20+years with a 1.3 and stickies. No power to break them. A tuned 2.4n/a and 39’s spit them out like a bad taste 🤣. Time for bigger parts.

the flanges are sweet. But now the weak link is the rcv 300m axles. I’ve broken more stubs, bells, stars, and an inner shaft! It’s been fun calling rcv every week. Rebuilt the axles back to new, yanked the engine, trans and case and sold it. Now building another chassis with the help of Kramer...

    Build #SteerAndStuff Buggy

I like that rad cover. Did you fab this? Great idea. I put my radiator behind the driver seat and I share the same worry

That’s what I did also. Works great and keeps it out of the elements. My buddies on the Eastcoast have thought it’s pretty slick idea. Of corse not my brainchild idea, I just try and pay attention to yall’s builds.

A clean buggy is a happy buggy. I said screw the rcv flanges and larger hardware after I completed them. Went with TG hubless hubs instead. Going to sell the hubs, hardware and flanges. I must say it’s a slight peace of mind. Been on a few rides ands really impressed with what I have built. More...

    Build JHF Trail Chassis

My axle helmet saved my skull from cracking. Still took 7 stitches through the helmet deflection. I spoke with Axle right after it happened and he sent me a new model asap. The new design seems to have better padding and with the ratchet adjustment it fits tighter. Don’t think they are...

Sweet thank you man. I hope to have some time this week to get them done. I hit up a buddy that lives in Utah now about how he did his years ago and he recommended the same thing. He even drilled and tapped where the dowels went to the same as the rest. Not sure I need to go that far. I’ll...

I read somewhere that you drill out to 3/8” and tap to 7/16-20 fine thread but not sure. Just needing some confirmation.

I have had good luck with the marlin 25mm upgrade and arp studs for the steering. Now that the locking hubs are in the trash I want to install the rcv driveflanges. I want to redrill the hubs and get rid of the hub studs and go with bolts. That’s what I want to upgrade.

Guess it depends on who you ask woody. I’d trust your opinion over others. I’ve heard that 4:30 where but don’t wanna give up the crawlability. Looks like new 300m stubs are in order as well. Stripped and broke splines on both sides stubs. Started to install the rcv flanges and noticed the...

First ride out in the buggy this past weekend to AOP in Tennessee. Was a wet muddy mess with muddy slick rocks. It did great for the first ride. No major issues to speak of really. 39’s and Toyota hubs don’t work so well. Broke both hubs in one day. Going with rcv drive flanges for the front...

I wound up using a 45* jic fitting to give me more clearance on the upper link. I used on like you shared on the upper fitting. Had to clearance the bottom of the alternator mount. Works like a charm.

I didn’t either lol. Went through the rule book and made it pass tech. Was just a trail rig and still is.
