More progress can’t wait to get it off these Jack stands. Oddly enough my front axle ended up a 1/2inch over to driver side more than the first one I built but it fits I honestly could have made the first one work if I would’ve gave it a chance. I’m happy how their turning out
I guess this is what I wasn’t understanding the other day I didn’t realize why you got the behemoth because I could have sworn you already had a billet case but now it makes more sense
I got a red label with great tread and a hole in the sidewall I had the hole vulcanized it was fixed with glue tread previously. The tire shop didn’t wanna do it because they say it been ran flat and is trash. Said possibly I could put an inner tube in it but had no recommendations for tube...
Any chance anyone has the cover ring and the front pinion ring already in a cad file I could get? I’m wanting to build a new cover and it would save me a lot of time and metal🤦♂️
I’m waiting on a measurement from the builder but I think I’ll do 2 inches further to passenger on the new one and I’ll be using the seals it ones. Or maybe make my own
Took some measurements from my buddies 9 inch spidertrax setup and tried to apply that to the 14 bolt and it did not work out well. So to keep from buying 200$ worth of tuning I pressed the tubing out and reinstalled as a driver drop rear axle now both of my chunks will be driver side ish...
Here’s the first 14 bolt front axle I built for it using a 3.5 tube 14 bolt and machining the factory 3.75 f450 tubing down enough to press in then I built a truss and a front ram bar out of .188 for both. I ultimately decided not to use this axle and put it up for sale
I’ll be running 14bolts so im definitely limited. I like a little deeper crawl ratio than 5.38/3.8 affords (50-1) but a buddy of mine had a 5.43/4.3 (58-1)and he always hated it but I never got to drive it to see how I would actually like it
