Yesso putting two different ratios in the buggy?
I’ll be doing 6-8 pointed toward the center of the buggy. I read somewhere it gives more traction climbing. Maybe it works maybe it doesn’t but either way I’m gonna try it.so caster for the rear. maybe i missed it . so mine will be about 6-8 with the upper ball joint leaning toward the chassis. i have been reading some do zero. some say point it toward the chassis what i dont find is a supporting arguments for either. again slow crawler, i would say less than 30 mph on its best day. and thats only running a haul road back to camp. no racing. so slow as she goes is the montra.
Gears will have to be machined down as well I’ve got new tool bit coming for thatthis is the clearancing that you still have to work the gears too? or just the carrier?
I didn’t but my other axle is supposed to be here tomorrow or Friday so I will thendid you get a measurement from before the clearance?
Highly recommend that it’s way easier I just wanted the experience. This originally was 13 bolt shaved. Finally picked up that other housing just been too cold in the shopas it sits now i plan on just doing the 13 bolt mod to take off the bottom inch or so. had decent luck that way before.
I shaved 1-15/16 according to what I had to mark off to get ready to do my new one. It’s so much easier to just do the the 13 bolt shave I cut the majority of mine off originally with a sawzall and went back with a grinder.did you get a measurement from before the clearance?
Wish you’d tell women thatdamn near 2 inches thats alot
77wms and hopefully around 91What is your intended WMS and outside of tire? My car is 70" WMS and 83" outside of tire.
I’m waiting on a measurement from the builder but I think I’ll do 2 inches further to passenger on the new one and I’ll be using the seals it ones. Or maybe make my ownThat last pic, the diff placement looks pretty good. It looks like the front driveshaft will clear the engine just fine and you have enough real estate on the drivers side to attach the lower link mount while still getting good steer angle. You'll have to move the PS pump up, but thats kinda a given with these projects.
77" is really wide. What are you doing for axle seals?
