good am all,

so doing a bit of a research dive for a future project. Class act buggy.

is there any one running the ecotec 2.0. what areas do you wheel. i love the idea of this engine but worry because i am a mid west wheeler and we dont get to crawl everything. often times its mid hill you decide you need more skinny pedal and with out the low end grunt of a V8 you can not get it.

so whats your thoughts?

I don't have an LTG but I have friends that are building buggies with them and a lot has to do with how they are set up. What converter, gearing, axle ratio, portals? I think the LTG Ecotec has around 250 HP and I would be willing to bet my junkyard 5.3 is close to that!

on paper i think your correct. 250 ish i am worried about the ability to roll back on the gas mid hill and not be able to. but damn would it be awesome if you could. there are alot of neat things about this engine for sure.

my gearing would be pretty standard, sd60 front, 14 bolt rear, th350 to either 4.3 atlas or 205/magnum, still on fence. light weight for sure. class act chassis when it was shipped was 400 pounds of steel. now there is alot to add but at least that part is light
