Hey,

I just got another beater. It's a '97 TJ on tons, poorly built, but it's a start. Got it for a great price and it'll save me a lot of time to get a stock TJ to this point.
I would like to put a welder in it. It'll be an alternator welder. I have the new alternator installed already. It will be stand alone, but run off the same belt. The stock alternator will remain in place and do it's thing.
The welder/alternator is a Delco # 421000-0360. It's externally regulated and rated at 160 amps.
I know there's videos and other info on this out there, but none of it makes sense to me. I'm hoping someone here has first hand knowledge at building one and can help me out.
I'll post some pics later of what the inside of the alternator looks like tomorrow.

Thanks.

I ran a MobiArc many years ago, probably still have all the components other than the alt itself.... I know I only ran a single alt and it worked well.

New one is in place and should be ready to go. Waiting for the belt. I think it's aligned properly, but need the belt to make sure.
I'll remove it today and see what needs to happen inside.
