MESA, ARIZONA FEBRUARY 23, 2015: In Offroad Racing there are arguably three iconic races: The Mint 400, SCORE Baja 1000 and the most recently added King of the Hammers. The Mint 400 started in 1967, the Baja 1000 is getting ready to celebrate it’s 50th race next year and King of the Hammers celebrated it’s 10th race just a few short weeks ago. Promoters, winners and racers of each of these events have a significant role in the offroad industry.

This week’s Bower Power Hour guests are 2016 King of the Hammers winner Erik Miller of Miller Motorsports and Mad Media’s Matt Martelli who is the promoter of The Mint 400. Then Charlene shares her Bower Media Adventures at this year’s King of the Hammers, and in our new section you get to tell your Social Dirt stories about King of the Hammers. Erik walks listeners through getting ready for this year’s King of the Hammers, the race itself, and his plans to compete in the Ultra4 circuit this season. Matt gets everyone ready for the massive Mint 400 race and touches on it’s rich history in the Las Vegas area. Charlene tells viewers all about the work that took place behind the scenes at this year’s King of the Hammers race, then we get fans involved in the brand new Social Dirt segment where she asked viewers for their best King of the Hammers stories.

“It is pretty awesome to have two major events represented in one show! I’m also excited to roll out Social Dirt where the everyday off roaders can participate and tell stories and allow us to share them online. We really want to get everyone’s stories out on Bower Power Hour!” said Charlene Bower, Host and Executive Producer. “It was fun to hear what Erik considers a clean day while racing the King of the Hammers, I was laughing! There is so much that can go wrong, and he overcame each challenge thrown at the team. I will add, I am super excited for this year’s Mint 400, I know Matt and the team will put on another amazing race.”
