The Forest Service will present information about the revision process, a tentative timeline for completing the revised plan, what will and will not be decided in the revised forest plan and how the agency studies the social and economic effects of decisions. Forest Supervisor Joe Alexander, local district rangers and members of the planning team will be available to answer questions.
Additionally, the Government Cooperators' Work Group will meet on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Big Horn Federal meeting room in Thermopolis from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. The public is welcome. At the end of the meeting, there will be time for nonmembers to make statements and ask questions.
Forest plan revision information is available on the Shoshone National Forest's website, or at any Shoshone National Forest office in Cody, Dubois and Lander.
