I bought a set of genuine dana spicer 4.56 gears for a dana 60 off craigslist, my question is, is there anyway to tell if they are regular or thick gears, by either the letters/numbers stamped on the ring gear or by measuring the ring gear?

That has alot of good information. Does anyone know of a chart or spec sheet that would tell the thickness of a Dana 60 4.56 regular ring gear and the thickness of a thick gear. I have calipers and a micrometer, I just need a measurement of one or the other. Would calling Dana directly be my best bet?

Likely hitting up there customer service is the quickest....I've not found anything with actual thickness specs
