When I originally did all my research on which ram to use to achieve 50 degrees of steering I had seen I would need a 6.75 bj to tie rod hole to get 50 with a 10 inch ram. I ordered the BK steering knuckles for a my f450 stuff because they were supposed to be 7 and I figured that would get me close enough. The problem is they are actually closer to 8.25 from what I measured. Can someone smarter than me tell me what kinda ram travel I need to hit 50 deg with these or do I need something else

Does this diagram help? Only shows 0 ackerman but should get you ballpark idea. 8.25" arm on 10" cylinder looks like 37 degrees-ish. Not sure how correct that is.

Yeah, but its really just a simple sketch. Any CAD program should be able to do. You could even just plot it out on paper, its just easier with a computer.

I will say that its a very simplified sketch and in real life there are a lot more things going on, so that length may change slightly. I'd likely do some more research or try to measure things out before you commit.

If anyone can try to see where I would need to drill the hole that would be great. My version of solidworks is at a buddy’s shop and it’s a 2013 version I can’t figure out how to do the angle thing like y’all got. Maybe one day I’ll break down and buy a computer for the house and a hobbyist subscription
