Aftermarket Jeep Specialist Will Display a Sampling of its Historic Jeep Collection at the Festival

Suwanee, Ga. (July 26, 2016) Omix-ADA®, the world’s largest wholesale-only Jeep® parts and accessories manufacturer and distributor, today announced that will be participating in the 2016 Toledo Jeep Fest as an official showcase sponsor. As part of its support of the festival, Omix-ADA will have 10 rare vintage Jeeps from its historic Jeep Collection on display.

Jeep is the root of Toledo’s heritage. The Toledo Jeep plant first opened its doors in 1910 and not long after, in 1945, the first civilian Jeep was produced and made its official debut in Toledo. On August 13th from 11am – 6pm, the Toledo Jeep Fest will honor Toledo, Ohio and its rich Jeep heritage by hosting a Jeep parade through downtown Toledo, an All Jeep Car Show at the SeaGate Convention Centre and select downtown streets, various historical Jeep vehicles, military programming and vendor displays.

Throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to view historic Jeeps, ten of which will be visiting from Omix-ADA’s Jeep Collection in Georgia. Vehicles from the collection are particularly unique and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to view three rare prototypes, a 1941 Bantam BRC, 1941 Ford GP, a 1941 Willys MA and two modern Jeeps.

For all the history buffs and Jeep fans at the fest looking for a unique vehicle, the 1973 Super Jeep CJ-5 will be present. It was created as a result of the lack of aluminum wheels needed for the CJ-5 Renegade and is one of only a few hundred built. Omix-ADA’s 1946 Willys CJ-2A farm Jeep equipped with unique farming equipment, including a rear towing boom, Newgren buzz saw table and a side arm mower bar on the driver’s side will also be on display.

Other historic Jeeps on display include: 1948 CJ-2A, 1959 Willys FC-150 Truck, 1960 DJ3A Surrey, 1971 Hurst Jeepster and a 1976 M-715 Truck.

“We are honored to announce our sponsorship of a true enthusiast event such as the Toledo Jeep Fest,” said Henk van Dongen, Director of Marketing for Omix-ADA. “We are passionate about preserving the history of the Jeep and enjoy being able to showcase the variety of rare, vintage Jeeps in our collection. We are thrilled to be able to take a portion of the collection to Toledo and allow more enthusiasts to see our historic vehicles.”

Entrance to the festival is free to the public, however, there is an entry fee of $15 to anyone who wishes to enter their Jeep into the All Jeep Car Show or the parade. For more information on the event, please call 419-960-JEEP or email ToledoJeepfest@gmail.com.
