    Mitchell DeJong Crowned Trophy Kart Champion

    RENO, NV – DECEMBER 22, 2010:  The Speed Technologies team took the checker flag on the 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at the Firebird Raceway in Arizona, and then followed it with a shot at the Rockstar Energy Challenge Cup in an all-or-nothing season finale showdown.  Mitchell DeJong had clinched the Trophy Kart Championship going into the race, and was crowned at the end of the day.   • Speed Technologies Bets on Las Vegas For A Podium

    RENO, NV – NOVEMBER 2, 2010:  The Speed Technology team will be pulling down the strip of Las Vegas on the way to the Lucas Oil Off Road Race this weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. John Harrah and Jeff Ward are prepared to take on the competition and have strong feelings for a championship win. “Every race I get more and more in synch with the truck and the tracks,” said John Harrah.  “I am very excited to go out and race again this weekend, and am very proud of the team overall.”

    Speed Technologies Jeff Ward’s Pro 2 Unlimited and John Harrah’s Pro 4 Unlimited trucks are new for this season and they have been working closer and closer to the front of the pack.  After Rounds 11 and 12 in the scorching September Arizona heat, Jeff Ward moved up two positions to 8th overall in the Pro 2 Unlimited class, and John Harrah is currently 11th in Pro 4 Unlimited class.   • Speed Technologies Chuck Dempsey Released To Race

    RENO, NV – OCTOBER 27, 2010:  Chuck Dempsey, who had a heart attack in July, has made a full recovery and was released by doctors last week to return to off road racing.  “It was a wake up call and luckily there is no damage to my heart,” said Dempsey who has hereditary heart conditions.  Dempsey has taken a leadership role in encouraging everyone to get CPR certified and pay better attention to their bodies while racing.
