RENO, NEV. - The days leading up to his TORC Pro-Light Championship race in Lancaster, Calif. on Sept. 29, Brad Lovell was where he can usually be found before each short-course race - stationed at his Torchmate 4X4 CNC machine, fabricating race components to ready his Pro-Light rig for the off-road battle of its life.

The season of hard work in the garage paid off in the biggest week of Brad Lovell’s racing career, when, fresh off of being crowned Ultra-4 Pro champion, he backed it up with his first-ever TORC Pro-Light series championship at the Lancaster racetrack. Read More→

43 Torchmate Racing helps keep Moab beautifulFollowing the 2005 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab Utah Jeff Knoll and his family read an article in the Moab newspaper about an environmentalists named Sara Melnicoff who was cleaning up the amazing mess left by off roaders who chose to party at Potato Salad hill.  Knoll and family presented a challenge to keep the area clean the following year which the online 4 wheeling community has spun into a yearly cleanup and proactive approach to management of the area during safari. Over the next week off-road enthusiasts from around the globe will converge on the tiny desert hamlet of Johnson Valley California. The sparsely populated community swells to over 20,000 when the annual pilgrimage of off roaders descends on Means dry lakebed for the King of the Hammers event. Shaffer SCORE Laughlin 220x145 Shaffer Motorsports Finishes 2nd at SCORE Season Openers OAKLAND, CA     JANUARY 19, 2012   Shaffer-Motorsports team car #401 finished second on both Saturday and Sunday at the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge.  The team debuted the new black, red and white look for the 2012 season including the addition of title sponsor Transfer Case Express while still being supported by Torchmate CNC Cutting Systems.  “We had fun even though we had to pull a motor out on Saturday after running with no clutch during the whole race,” said Mike Shaffer, driver of record.  “The wheel to wheel action that was also nose to tail made for a very exciting race to drive, and then it was even cooler that we got to watch all the other classes when we weren’t racing.”            Read More→

Rock Eastern Pro National Season Titles Bill Barton, Danny Rohrer and Duane Garretson Class ChampionsPLACERVILLE, CA   SEPTEMBER 19, 2010:  The Eastern Pro National Series came to an exciting close in Dayton Tennessee with over 2000 spectators in attendance! Congratulations to the Champions Bill Barton in the Unlimited Class, Danny Rohrer in the Pro Modified Class and Duane Garretson in the Modified Stock Class.  The Pro Modified Class had points battles to the end that made every obstacle important for all six competitors going for the title.  The Champions will be presented at the W.E. Rock Grand National Championship, where the East meets the West drivers, at Miller Motorsports Park September 24th and 25th. Read More→
