    Americans Rally with Donations of Cash and Services for “Project Fearless”

    RK Motors - Project FearlessCHARLOTTE, N.C. – Oct. 31, 2013 – RK Motors Charlotte, one of the nation’s premier restorers, re-sellers and builders of classic, muscle and high-performance cars, spearheaded a project to restore and customize a classic Ford Bronco in honor of fallen hero, US Navy SEAL  Chief Adam Brown. The truck  was part of a “Give Forward” campaign where the public donated $65,319,660, while RKMC and other corporate sponsors including 5-Hour Energy, RoushYates, BDS Suspension and ESAB provided parts, services and additional funds for “Project Fearless.” The 1991 Bronco was recently completed in the RK Motors Performance Center, located in Mooresville, NC, and unveiled to Chief Brown’s family.     While it’s nice to have a look at rock-racers like Shannon Campbell’s, it’s not exactly what we’d call realistic for your average joe. While we know rock-crawling isn’t a cheap activity, there’s certainly vehicles that are a bit more realistic than others. This built-up Jeep Wrangler TJ is one of those, and between the BF Goodrich Krawlers, the Bilstein suspension, and the race-prepped interior, we’re sure it’s fun too.  (more…)

  • SEMA 2013: MLR Racework’s Class 6 Race Truck

    Who doesn’t love themselves a great SCORE Class 6 race truck? We certainly do, and we know you’ll love a closer look at Matt Lovell’s 2009 Ford Ranger (not that there’s much left of the original truck anyway). With 24 inches of travel up front, and 34 inches of travel in the rear by-way of FOX Racing suspension, we’re curious to see what this truck can do in the desert. For now, we’ll have to settle for some detail shots straight from SEMA 2013.  (more…)
